Re: fishing at cold knapp

Hi fellas...and all you ladies out there (if there are any) Happy new year. Fished the Knap the other day at high tide. It wasnt where i`d planned to go but its where I ended up because of one thing and another. Two of us fishing with rag, lug and squid . All we had were a couple of whiting about the size of my hand. Small hands too.

Re: fishing at cold knapp

A little late is posting this sorry.
On the subject of Conger, I fished down the knap on the 8th Jan and had a good session. Fished over high just after lunch and had
6 Whiting, largest 1.5lb with another just under that. Other 4 from .75lb down to a few ozs.
1 Codling at 2lb.
1 conger estimated at 20lb as scales stopped at 15lb.

Two rods fished. One with 3/0 pennel and 3/4 rag and whole squid body. Codling on this and some of the Whiting which were smaller than the bait!
Second rod with 2 hook clipdown and size 1 Kamasan 940's. Conger on this rod.......amazed to get it in, hard work on my own on the pebbles.

Fished about 40 yards West of the point. Didn't see much else caught.
