foreshore help

Hi guys thought i'd join after a good day out on Lady Helen on the weekend with Mike and Richard.
Another good day out and will definatley be doing it again as long as Dan remembers the bacon next time!!

quick question though on fishing the foreshore this weekend.
I presume you fish the 3 hrs either side of high water but once on the shoreline where should i aim for (don't say out to sea) i know there's a big wall along the back of the beach do you fish off the top of this or are there more productive areas?
any help would be appreciated

John

Re: foreshore help

...I always thought, and was lead to believe that the foreshore (is this the one at Cardiff?) fished better over LOW water..???

...Not quite sure now... Yep, definately think low water is the time...

Oh well, somebody out there will know, I'm sure..

Re: foreshore help

Hi John,welcome to the forum.

Best part of the foreshore to fish is "Cod Corner",off to the left hand end of the main foreshore wall. use the dock entrance at the steel works end,you cant go in the dock with a car,so its a longish walk around.Best time 3 hours either side of high ,low water means a long walk and not much water to fish in.Good luck ...gives us a wave we`ll be fishing off the foreshore Sat day and night, you should be able to smell the Bacon cooking from Cod corner .....

Re: foreshore help

if youpm me when you got time, i will give you all the info you require on the foreshore m8. where to park, where to walk. where to fish, its starting to produce well at the moment, cod on blak tipped with squid, crab,or rag tipped with squid, 3 hours either side will do it, i usually fish about 5 an a half hours, but as i say, if you are stuk, i am only too pleased to help. tight lines. pooooooooch?

Re: foreshore help

Hi Lazy hooker,

Did you go this morning?

I looked for you but i only went as far as the first corner, got there at 7:30 fished to 12:00 by the two big rocks on the first corner, twas brass monkeys first thing..

Had 2 codling 3/4 hr after high tide, 1.5lb and one smaller than my bait!!!

Bit disapointed, but hey, i did not blank..

Still, Spurs drew with West Ham... so they are still in Arsenal`s shadow...time for a drink me thinks..
