| Cod..Lady Helen Bristol Channel Oct 2nd Was great to wake up and see the weather man had got it wrong AGAIN!!!...luckily in our favour for a change ,no wind as forecast ,just glorious flat calm conditions with intermitant sunshine thro the day.A super days fishing,mixed bag of fish.First Cod of this season (5lb 11oz) Bull Huss,Thornback Rays to 10lb,Conger to 23lb,Doggies and a couple of decent whiting.All falling to worm and squid cocktails fished uptide.Mackerel at slack water accounting for most of the bigger congers. Flat Calm,if only every day was like this !!!  5lb 11oz First Cod of the season,plus a tidgy cod regurgetated by the bigger one on the deck,along with several crabs and shrimps   10lb Thornback and Bull hus for Mike   Congers came thick and fast at slack water best of 23lb       |
