Re: Bristol Channel Cod

Well done mate sounds great. Do the cod come up along the Welsh coast first before they arrive around the likes of Weston and the two bridges ?

If so where would be advisable to have a go in our Warrior 165 ?

Is it worth trying the boat out by the bridges yet and then a day out of Weston by Steepholm or is it still too early ?

Cant wait to have a go at uptiding for the first time - gauranteed to catch I heard ..........................

Cheers mate

Re: Bristol Channel Cod

Squid working quite well, whole or as tipping. I have the 165 too, don't know about how its fishing around the bridges at the moment, but it should have started with a few lunkers by now. We tend to stay up around Penarth & Newport area, if we are getting Cod this side you should start hitting them over there as well.

Not guaranteed to catch just cos you're uptiding,(sorry to Dissapoint) seen plenty of people blank no matter how they fish.
