 Bristol Channel.....3 & 4 Sept South Easterly winds ,made for a pretty dingy couple of days,the old saying holds true. "when the winds in the east the fish bite least". Gloomy weather and little sunshine didnt make the prospcts much better either.A lively steam to Aberthaw on Saturday saw a few Smoothounds,congers and a few doggies.Sunday bringing much the same ,plus a flurry of small Thornbacks,with the bonus of a tope !....even if it was 8 inches long and must have weighed 3 oz`s.
