going to tenby on me hols at the end of july - whats the fishing like at the mo ,in the area.

hi tezza whereabouts in tenby are u staying mate?
in a b&b in-town or one of the holiday parks...reason i ask is because kiln park fronts onto the main beach at tenby heading towards giltar point (superb fishing into deep water) whilst Lydstep park has lydstep beach along with some brilliant rock marks.
Lydstep beach gave me and a friend a bag of red mullet last year but during easterlies when a surf hits it you can expect bass to feed in the bay. it even threw up a 37lb conger during a club match in winter a few years back! the angler was using a 2hook paternoster for whiting! lol
if u wanna meet for a session one day down there i would be up for it..

i know the area extremely well and can help you with some lovely shore marks and give u some details of the charter boats (not really serious boats but they do catch some good fish now and again!).

Have a ganders in the Sea Angler this month theres an extract on fishing for bass etc. under the old lifeboat slip.

Juan - Ive holidayed in Tenby nearly all my life and stayed in the town and had a boat in the harbour. Havent been there for more than the odd weekend recently but absolutely love the place and might even end up living there with the mrs.

Anyway I would be well up for a session mate for some mullett and bass - probably going to have a full weekend off soon as my wife is away. We were planning a trip to Tenby and taking the boat. If we do then we could arrange for that weekend.

In between time though mate do you fancy a fishing session from 4pm through til 1.00am sometime soon ?

hi guys , i'll be on hols up that way about the end of july.
i've fished around tenby a couple o years ago and liked the place.

I will be staying in pleasant vally in holiday flat 2 mins in the from wisemans beach, will be there with the family so will not have much time in the day but no worries at night or early mornings - fished wisemans last year , the mack were in but not close enough - spent a good few evenings off saundersfoot harbour dog after dog pulled in 10 in one 3 hrs session , better than nothing, took the tin lids and wife to broad haven lovley beach so clean and was spinning towards church rock was in world of me owe but blanked , spk to fella on south beach tenby said loads of school bass by the band stand said he had 20 bass (heaven) - u know where i will be this year - i will be there the last week in july - i will try saundersfoot harbour first - if u see a big bald brummie thats me - driving a blue focus estate.

yes seen the section in sea angler heard the band stand is good - tryed last year to get out on a boat , full up 1st few days tope contest then the weather was good close in but to rough a few miles out - called the skipper every day that week but no good, o think the boat was "julia" - kept the number and spoke to steve the skipper said he now has his own boat "4 brothers" and i will try to get out. i would be up for a session 4 till 1 good time for me - i will be there the last week in july sat to sat
