| Gower Penisula , chasing a few fish ... Weather forecast was lookin ideal for a drive west ,to a choice of surf beaches ,to rev up our species tally . Weather was spot on ,a slight easterly wind ,just wipping up a gentle rolling surf . John and i ,got togged up in the toasty gear and headed down to a beach at the Gower Peninsula , arrived just as the tide started to flood ,with the sundropping down over the horizon. I had a 15 oz Dab first cast ,John started with a schoolie after that a steady stream of fish followed ,Bass ,Coalfish ,Poor Cod ,Pouting ,Whiting .John had 5 species and i had 3 , we added 3 between us for the species hunt ,so happy days The sharp easterly breeze ,made it a tad chilly to say the least as the night went on. Howevr can`t believe school Bass are still around ,just shows how mild it is in general...... First fish of the evening a 15oz Dab for me ,and a schoolie for John     Shortly after the sun started setting at the far end of the beach,awesome sight   After Dark ,a good mix of fish ,more Schoolies , Coalfish, Pouting, Whiting & Poor Cod     __________________ Mike.. | Re: Gower Penisula , chasing a few fish ... Was cold....wind was also easterly which normally kills the fishing. Was a good night...been ages since I've been scratching...will be doing it again.
