| Full montys 1st trip of new year Hi all!! first things first Happy New Year to u all!! well finally got out yesterday 1st time in 2 months and coudnt wait to get stuck into the new challenge of 50 species set by mike (mrg2000) so off we went straight to the whiting mark and within minutes there were whiting on the boat!happy days not great numbers like last year but some good whiting and while we were onto the whiting we must thank mr richie jones of (exe warrior) for keeping the dogs at bay as thats all he done was catch dog after dog!! so cheers rich!!!lol!the whiting went quiet so we decided to have a few drifts over a wreck that was close to us over slack water which was very poor with only 2 pout coming up 1 decent 1 mind, so headed off up river then to try for the old thornys and got our reward with 2 small ones first one falling to mr dean hadley and the second to the skipper bevs both weighing around the 4lb mark a couple of whiting put in an appearance along with small pouts and loads of dogs but went very quiet then so we headed off bk in a good day had by all and loads of whiting for the pan!!! species so far dogs,whiting,pouting,poor cod and thornys. cheers     |

| Re: Full montys 1st trip of new year Cheers jase we r quite fortunate down here I think every time we have fished for the old thornys someone on the boat has managed 1 I've only had a handful myself mate nothing bigger than 6lb off the boat and 9lb off the shore so I'm hoping for a double this year aswell tight lines buddy all the best |
