Ranny 9th

after last weeks success i thought i'd go back dow the ranny and haul out a load of codling............

eventfull evening...first off some 60 year old woman fell head first down what is called the ski slope.....very slippy, muddy slopey thing down the beach...
she wasn't hurt just shaken up so i made sure she was alright, grabbed her dog and got her back to the top of the ski slope...she was funny covered head to toe in mud down her front.....
yep i out did myself too...i actually refrained from taking her picture for my report...did think about it but i've discovered morals and ethics...don't like them!!!!

anyway fishing...fishcast wound a good one up and it flew until the apex when it overran and snap....... messing with the reel in the week and no magnets!!!

sorted that out, couple of practice casts with a plain lead and fine...clipped another rig on wound it up and hit the ground as i was going for the follow through...yep snap!!!!
couldn't help but laugh....decided i also hate Karma...well i must have done something!!!!

after that it was pretty uneventfull...plenty of whiting hitting the baits but when you have a quids worth of worm on each cast its not what you want.
Only interesting bite was when a hooked whiting got molested by something and came in very ragged and worried looking...well not exactly he was dead!!!

Oh it was freezing too...so to sum it up 6 or 7 whiting...never mind karma has kicked in...bargain booze are doing 4 bottles of mixed real ale for £4....god smiles on the righteous!!!!

john

Re: Ranny 9th

Nice report John, just a couple of questions.
Was the muddy lady practising for the skeleton this winter season?
What sort of a dog was it?

believe me Paul there was nothing skeletal about her!!!! in fact it probably would have been easier to push a shetland pony through a cat flap than get the old lady up the ski slope!! i'm just glad mike wasn't there cos he would have got me going and that would have been game over...

dog was just stupid...wouldn't surprise me if the dog was the cause of the whole debarcle....
