With the westerlies howling fishing marks were hard to come by, so Dave & I headed down to Penarth and fished from low up to high.
To avoid a long walk we plumped for the Penarth end rather than Lavernock & plodded along the beach looking for a particular piece of graffitti on the wall.
Ummm think we missed it, but we carried on past the North & South signs and started fishing into a little bay in the weed which held clean ground.
Not a touch. As the water pushed us back up the beach we decided to move back to some cleaner ground we had walked over earlier.
Fished on up to high amongst the showers but both blanked.
Baits used were, rag, lug, mackeral, baby squid & sandeel in various combinations on various rigs.

Ahhh well everyone else seemed to be struggling.

but at least you got down there and got a feel for the place.....it will start fishing soon....especially when the frost has slowed the crabs down!!
