| Scratching for four species Popped down to the local beach to use up the last of the worm. Fished a scratching rig with the feeder rod as weather looked promising. First up a pouting, followed by a whiting, then a rig cutting figure of 8 snotty. Put the hooks back on after an enjoyable 15 minutes untangling & had another little nibble. Bit more weight on this one and a great head nodding fight before beaching a tasty sized codling, to a cheer from the nearby workers watching the battle. Photographing on the ground wouldn't have done the fish justice so I took 3 on the timer. One in the sun, one with a fin & an arm and the last with a scenic shot minus me and fish. never mind the fish went back happily after a few minutes head on to the current. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
