| Update from SA postcode Weeeellllll, I have read a lot of books recently, but have squeeezed a couple of trips in since Monknash. Last week I went up with Fall guy to try the Loughor again & play with the crabs, fair enough we haven't had a prolonged cold spell yet... I didn't connect with anything fishy, but Dave did an edible flounder. ![]() Tasted nice I'm informed. This week I've neap lows to play with, Monday saw a digging trip & a few lug located. Tuesday... Dave had leg problems so after a cup of coffee I headed off to Aberavon to impale & drown some of the captured worms. A breeze over the left shoulder made distance casting easy with the multi and gave a bit of surf for the close in rod. Water was gin clear though. Managed to snag a gurnard at range, 1st of the year so probably the last species points this year. Unfortunately even though he would bite me and wag his tail he wouldn't swim off. After 10 mins up to elbows in surf trying to get water through his gills I had to give up. ![]() Ahhh well more worm to drown tomorrow. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
