| Crabs ,2/3 rd`s of a whiting ,and a lost conger ,a nice afternoon out !!!!! Had some bait lurking in the fridge ,and with strong westerly winds ,the only place to go out of the wind was the Ranny . Already had a couple of codling from the this year ,so hopes were high. But it wasn`t to be , crabs were out in force striping large worm baits in 10 mins or less . Was chatting to John on the phone about where to fish tommorow ,had a little rattle ,carried on chatting , 10mins later had a serious pull down ,struck into a weighty fish , got it within 10 yards of the beach ,and bang ,it was gone , still something there tho ,reeled in 2/3rds of a whiting , Mr Conger had been for a visit and let go in the shallows . No further bites so headed off home , pleasant couple of hours out .... The Ranny in a westerly is flat close in ,the wind comes over the top of the cliffs , nice rainbow too   Poor old whiting ,wasn`t very well after a visit from Mr Conger   __________________ Mike..
