Went fishing ,ended up taking pictures ....Ray fishing today .

John and i headed off to Witches ,for probably the last sesssion on the Small Eyeds ,before they move offshore over winter , weather turned out to be glorious ,warm enough fornfishing in t shirts, topping up the tans . John had a couple of nice rays, a Mumbles Marlin ,and a whiting ,i was fishing 10 yards away and didnt get a bite all day ,same rigs ,same bait ,not a touch .So it was David Bailey duties for me .

A Glorious day on the ledges for a change ,must have been summer today !!!!

That's a nice looking mark Mike, never caught a ray they do turn up here every year but not got round to trying for them. Might make it a mission next year.

Its one of our fav marks ,we`ve had some cracking sessions on the Small Eyeds . best this year was 8 in one 6 hr sesion to 10 1/2lb ,a couple of months ago, reports hiding here ....Blasted by the wind ,what a Raytastic day !!!!

the whole coastline is a stretch of 14 miles called the heritage coast...its beautifull....with some cracking fishing....all species of rays...thornies, smalleyeds, blondes and spotties...good hounds and bass too.
