Bangin em out at the Barrage ..........

Had lug and rag left over from the weekend ,so decided to have a few hours at Cardiff Bay Barrage ,to try and winkle out a soul for the 50 Species hunt . 2 and 3 hook scratching rigs, with small pieces of worm ,one in close the other out on the edge of the dock channel ,resulted in lots of small whiting ,flatties ,conger`s and a last cast green eel. a pleasant afternoons dangling .....No Sole tho

Easy fishing at the Barrage , a reasonable cast gets you in the dock approach channel , the ship shows how close the deeper water is within casting distance ...

First cast brought the best Flounder of the afternoon ,lots of small whiting about in the deeper water ,followed by small strap congers ,and last cast a snotty eel

nice fishing mick told my mate about the barrage we are going to have a look see what the parking is like

Didnt think of this before here`s the overview from google earth , i normally fish towards the end of the long arm, just past the pink hut...

that looks good mick im sure he will give it a go it aint that far a walk ,,mind you took him beach fishing last month on a shallow beach in caridgion
so walk was ok pretty flat he loved it though i think he was trying to prove a point he was knackerd next day tho
