Wind, Rain & Crabs @ The Ranny Today

Was given 2lb of lug for free ,so would be rude to let it go to waste ,only 1 problem 30mph SW winds and rain forecast all day. So only 1 place to hide out of the wind on a SW,The Ranny . Headed off to get down a couple of hours before high ,winds was blowing a hoolie ,looking right out into the channel white horses eveywhere,the further to the left around Lavernock point you got the calmer the sea ,as the wind howls over the top of the cliff.

Set up the shelter and got some big baits in the water ,one at a reasonable distance ,one a bit closer in ,in search of some early Codling .Not a sniff all afternoon ,hooks stripped clean within 10 mins ,thats if they weren`t cut off by crabs went thro 2lb of worm in 4 hours feeding the hungry the crabs ,still better than watching daytime tv anyway.

No a soul on the beach when i got there ,so set up the shelter to hide in out of the wind

Big Baits resulted in empty hooks courtesey of hungry crabs and no early codling
