| Monster whiting at Cardiff Barrage ..... Fished Cardiff Barrage this morning ,as its only 5 mins drive and with huge tides ,you can't stand on any of the local marks as the waters up the cliff !. Fished scratching rigs in the hope of a few codling/flatties /snotty eels ,with worm ,mackerel and squid strips . Quite a few chinese/vietnamese their even @ 7 am ,trying to catch anything they can murder ,and a few old dodderers with bells too, in fact the goof balls next to me had 4 rods ,4 bells ,so it sounded like Notredam Cathedral at times . Fished for a few hours , half a dozen whiting ,biggest 5" ,went home with my arms aching from reeling in so many monsters  .... All in all a pleasant few hours out surrounded by foreigners and fools ....The 2 bigest monsters , hauled ashore on scratching rigs   __________________ Mike..
