My four fishing trips this week will all be on ebbing tides and limited in time.
Monday
A half hearted plug, where I have caught nothing before when trying, for an hour before shopping for my birthday pressent..
Electric pepper grinder broken in several pieces when I opened box, so went back to shop & changed it for a non broken one.
Got home, loaded batteries & it whirred, lit up and twizzled.
Added peppercorns, it whired lit up but wouldn't twizzle.

Tuesday
raining so sat in car watched some peeps fishing Jackstones, couldn't be bothered myself so read a book..
Pepper grinder back to shop & demonstrated its uselessness jamming with 2 pepper corns. Took the third & final one from the shelf, loaded & tested. It worked. Meals will now be even more peppery starting today.
After shopping I went looking for fish.
Found some mahoosive mullet & watched them for 90 minutes.
This one I have called Mike

Tomorrow I intend to try and catch Mike.


This pesky family will probably annoy me less than Mike

but it will probably be a distant second.

Good luck with the Mullet!
There are masses of them in Dover mariner but you are not allowed to fish. Some of them are are at least 10lb as well. They are in great big shoals, I would love to hook one!

Plenty of water, no wind, no swans, lack of fish.
Less water, some fish passing, gentle ripple.
Wind picked up, free lining bread wouldn't work even if the fish showed.
Back home for lunch without a bait cast in expectation.
Targeting individual fish is going to take some time.
