Flat out in the sun.

Woke up today with a "do it" head on, so left the missus snoring.

Fed & watered hounds,
put washing in machine,
scrubbed patio,
hung washing on line,

Welcomed K into land of living, then we did food shopping.
Made luncheon.

All jobs complete by 1 pm.

"Do you fancy going fishing???"
yes was the reply, so slapped on the slop & chucked minimal kit in the boot.

Picked up some small rag from dragon.
Arrived at beach & as expected busy with paddlers but fitted in a nice gap.

bang on low water, but I had a tremble on my rod within 15 minutes, predicted a small flattie but it turned out to be an 18 inch eel. Little beggar came off as I was wading back in, totaly ruined my rig, no photo & can't be sure of make so no points for hunt... botheration.

Next put in I decided to cut & retie the ruined rig & whilst testing an iffy knot missed a good bite.. K is chuckling by now.

Put out again and I hit another nibble, micro bass came off in surf at my feet... I'm into green fishing.

The kiddie bathers became more often & I had to wade out a few times to advise them of their nearness to the line. I was nice about it & they were nice about it... we can share the beach quite happily. Boy I'm in a good mood.

AT last I start catching fish, bite a chuck from 6 inch to 12 inch flatties & bass up to 16 inches. It's a bite a chuck from now on.
K hasn't had a fish yet so I ask her if she wants to change rigs. Yes she says so on wind in she brings in a double shot of flatties. "No, I'll keep this rig thanks".

K had more double shots of bass & flats & I carried on 1 fish at a time on smaller hooks.

Eventually around 7 o'clock after 5 hours hard fishing, no idea how many, we called it a day & went to the chippy.

Really enjoyable day - I'm still buzzing though that could have been the sun.

Sorry no photos, no special fish & I didn't even get a chance to sit down after the first hour.
