| Port eynon last week went down port eynon last week with the family and managed to smuggle a rod in with a bucket and a dozen leads, hooks and bits and pieces for some light moveable fishing during the evening tides. crab was not that easy to come by, but that may have been the small tides!! managed to get out 3 times and had a great result. 7 bass over 2 1/2lb, all on crab. and none over 30 yards out. 4 between 2 1/2 and 4lb, 2 about 4 1/2lb and best fish of the week at 23 1/2" and came in at 5lb 8oz...not bad as bass society measure says a 24" fish would be 5lb 12oz was the only fish i kept during the week, Also managed to get a sea scorpion on a 4/0!!! who says jou need small hooks for mini species. pic on my works phone and lead is in work so will put that up in a day or 2 for some points. tried some new spots to me too as well as some old faithfulls ![]() The Knave ![]() the red chamber ![]() i'm not as mental as mike is so i went for a recky first during daylight to make sure i could get to the water...sure mike's half barry half demented Nepalise sherpa ![]() oh and a pub with arguably one of the best views going....which incidently is probably the best golden grey mullet beach in the UK. ![]() __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
