| Awesome day on the Bristol Channel ,8 species ,4 PB`s Fished with Andrew on Whitewater today ,weather was glorious ,sunny and flat calm .... Locked out at 7.30 ,and headed west to an inshore mark ,to wait for the tide to slacken ,the steady stream of dogfish began ,second cast i had a lively bite and up popped a very lean 6lb Basss, quickly photo`d and returned ,shortly followed by a plump 5lb Cod. A move out mid channel ,after an hour or so ,and we were at the mark we intended to fish,tide was running a bit hard ,but i managed another decent Cod '6 lb straight away ,fishing was steady till the tide started to ebb then it went bonkers ,fish popping up everywhere. Everyone was into big Bull Huss,Spurdog ,Congers,and decent Smoothounds , i had a PB Huss of 13 1/2 lb ,and a nother clonker @12lb shortly after, then a suprise Ling of 8lb ,another PB.. We steamed then back inshore to finish off, steady stream of smoothounds ,dogs and some decent rays. The best days fishing i can remember for a long time , boated 8 species ,with 4 Personal Bests. Dogfish ,Bass,Conger Eel,Cod,Bull Huss,Thornback Ray,Smoothound.Ling Pictures describe the action better than words , so here`s a few of the days action. First fish inshore were doggies in abundance ,then a suprise PB Bass @ 6lb   Shortly after moving offshore ,a nice 5 lb Cod ,follwed by a 6lb`er later in the day.   Another PB , 13 1/2 lb Bull Huss, follwed shortly afterwards by a 12 LBer   A suprise PB ling @ 8lb , then another PB ,starry Smoothound @ 14lb 4oz   Thornback Ray and Conger eel brought my species total for the day upto 8   __________________ Mike..
