The Knap today, plenty of fish ,but i didn`t catch one !!!

Decided to give Cold Knap beach in Barry a go for a few hours to use up bait left over from the weekend ,and try to sneek out a species or 2 . Arrived with the tide 3 hours down ,greeted by the sight of dead dogfish ,strewn ove r the beach ,obviously killed and dumped back in by another """angler/anglers""" , that really pissed me off ,its senseless and just plain barbaric. Carried on further to where iwas going to fish and spotted a dead Angler fish about 8" long, dont think that had been murdered,just washed up on the beach.

Set up and fished till an hour or so after low water ,not even a bite ,still a pleasant few hours out in the sunshine .

Cold Knapp at low on a big spring tide ,water is level with the top of the pebbels at high ,so a pretty deep mark....



Only fish i saw all afternoon were "murdered" dogfish and a washed up Angler Fish

Dont think so Dave ,we get quite a few washed up along the coast, he was only about 8" long ....no trawlers operating this side of the channel.
