| P Talbot this week Monday saw a short sortie on the short arm with light tackle to play with the doggies. The doggies didn't play, was hounded out by pin whiting attacking the fishy baits (and others worm). Tuesday saw me on the beach with some mudrag. 6 other anglers were there rather than the occasional 1, probably due to the large 14lb?? bass caught last week. I was hoping for flatties & wasn't dissapointed. In the last hour of 3 hour session (as tide neared the top) I had a small flounder on the short rod, followed by a reasonable whiting on the distance rod, then in the last knockings a bass that wouldn't have gone 14 ounces and finally a nice old flounder... this guy had wrinkles, tyre tracks & really thick fins, though no great size. Wednesday was forecast bad weather so I did my tax return for 2010/11 and thought the weather was better for fishing. Today I walked down to the river Neath to use up the last of the mudrag. One good knock without a fish and lots of crab activity. was a nice couple of hours over low though. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
