| anglesea Well first time out this year and well pleased considering we blanked last time we decided on an easy venue to make sure we got off the mark and went to the breakwater at Holyhead, called in at Winnies for some worms to supplement our squid mackerel baits courtesy of the wing yip in brum unfortunatly no wrag so had to take my least favoured bait black lugg, we got on the wall to find a match in progress but found 4 pitches just past green light as we waited for match to finish so we could move to our favored pitches we put out some float rods down the side nothing, just 2 missed bites 30 mins later match finished so we took up our spots for the night after cleaning up the mountain of pop and beer bottles and crap left by the match goers (disgraceful) i hope your houses are cleaner than you left your pitches , i chucked 2 clipped up rigs with fresh squid on to the horizon and sat waiting for the first fish as dark set in a rap on left rod put me onto yea you guessed it a small doggy ,as we didnt have rags for the codling and whiting i knew this would be the case ,anyway mate graham had the next dog the first of 7 i had 6 and other mate orin had 2 with miky on 0 all in all a good start to our season ,,the temp did drop about 4 oclock and the bites dried up but glad to get the rods in the water after the bad winter |
