| fishing the loughor tomorrow penclawdd side Hi peeps im heading down the estuary tomorrow gunna fish the penclawdd side opposite the playing fields hopeing to gather some rag in the morning does any1 have any tips for this area bait rigs etc . will keep u posted on what i catch.      |

| Re: fishing the loughor tomorrow penclawdd side Hi Rhodri, The main flow of the estuary runs quite fast, it's quite hard to hold bottom. I used a 'watch' type lead last time with a two hook flapper and size 2 hooks. If you can find a calm bit, drop it in close and see if the tide moves the lead around. Try some gutted blacks (can get them in country stores!) tipped off with small head hooked rag, worked a treat for me last time! (post on here Loughor Estuary 26/1) Tried a bit of bling on the hook legnths, didn't have a touch on that, not to say it won't today though! Welcome to the forum and good luck! Steve |

| Re: fishing the loughor tomorrow penclawdd side Hi thx for tip i used a 2 hook flapper rig and fished the tide from low water up to top tide an 2 hours out and only had one bite and one flattie little undersize so i released him. used lug tipped with some harbour rag lovely sunny day but poor on the fish side of things :) gunna try sunday next |
