| A bit more Cod action @Sully Island.... After last weekends trip ,and a favourable low water time ,John and i decided to give Sully Island another try. Arrived for midday with low water @4.10pm ,had to wait for 20 mins or so for the causeway to uncover ,and headed off to the island . Met up with a couple of anglers who had been thee over high ,and had landed a couple of decent codling ,so hopes we high for another good day . Big worm ,squid ,razor and crab coctail baits ,on pulley pennels were the order of the day .John landed a cod "fishfinger after about half an hour ,so things were set we thought. Not another decent bite for 3 hours  , plenty of rattles from small fish ,but with 3/0 hooks no connections .Just after low ,we started to get decent cod bites and landed 4 fish in a flurry of activity as the tide began to flood.A couple more "fishfingers" rounded the day off nicely .Fished for 1 1/2 hrs into the flood and packed up in plenty of time to get back before the tide cut us off.  .......Not a bad day out ,finished off with a pint on the pub opposite the island .....Sully island ,from the pub car park , and our chosen mark for the day ....   First fish of the day a "fishfinger" for John ,we had to wait 3 hours till i landed this 2 1/2lber   Fishing went mad for 10 mins ,with a double hook up !, and another codling for John   __________________ Mike..
