| Oggy oggy oggy ..... Met up with John and had short session at Ogmore deeps tonite ,contineing the hunt for an early ray .See was nice and flat ,light NE wind ,meant it was chilly ,going to bloody cold when the sun went down.We both fished 2 rods ,with squid/sandeel baits on pulley pennels , not a sniff of a ray ,John landed a Mumbles Marlin to beat the blank ,leaving me with the blank until i landed a shore crab  . Nice to get out for a few hours,think we`ll postpone tommorows ray hunting episode ,for a few weeks .Ogmore deeps lookin back towards Southerndown,the ledges are a fair trek down from the carpark   Once your on the ledges is pretty roomy ,but a bit jagged under foot   Nice sunset ,we hoping for an early ray .John got a "Mumbles Marlin "   I got a "pregnant" shore crab.....   __________________ Mike.. | Re: Oggy oggy oggy ..... was a nice night...but bitterly cold!! below the water line there are patches of sandy coral which can swallow a hook occasionally, but generally if you cast, let line out till you hit bottom and then a touch more to cope with the current you'll anchor your lead no problem and get it back 95% of the time. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
