| A flat fish from witches 28/2 With an 8 rather than the usual 4 hour pass I was able to venture futher afield. I had decided on Ogmore, but changed to witches when the conditions were so favourable, light Northerly which picked up a bit. The swell was quite reasonable being subdued by the wind direction. Going straight up & over heat attack hill, I was at the mark on my lonesome within an hour of dropping K off. Not a great depth of water at the start (just before low) but I was able to cast beyond the breakers. Two rods, both with pulley pennels, one armed with double sandeel the other with Mackeral. Expecting a blank after hearing about M & Js session yesterday, I was changing baits every 30 mins, making myself comfy lying down on the rocks inbetween whilst the sun couldn't decide wether to come out or hide. Floaty off, floaty on, floaty off, floaty on. I detected a tremble on the macky rod & fair enough it gave another wiggle so I hit into it & brought in more than the weight. Maybe not a ray, but a blank beater ![]() 11 inches of turbot weighing in at a cool 13 oz. ![]() Didn't care what happened after that, I was well chuffed. As it was the miniture mumbles marlin arrived & I had one out at 14:15 and another when I wound in the last rod to pack up. I also carted the bag of rubbish left there & another I cleaned up (bait wrappers, line & a bong!!) back to the car park & put them in a bin! It should be tidy there now. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: A flat fish from witches 28/2 Big ledge? Not sure - it was the one we fished last year... a tesco bag full of rubbish already there with more near it, I collected more "Ammo" wrappers & line from the spot I was on & a few yards around. Just laziness & symptomatic of the world we live in. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
