Swanbridge 26th Feb

After a balls-up with the tw@t-nav the four of us ended up at the dead-end road bit of Swanbridge. Having had a chat with a friendly local angler we decided to give it a go from Swanbridge between the red marker and the rocks to the left.

Baits were mixtures of squid, lug and an experimental whitebait on 3/0 pulley rigs and a couple of 2-hook 'bomber' rigs.

To cut a long storey short, not a bite. Fished for two hours either side of high tide. Perhaps the small tide didnt help us.

Was a lovely day though and was a good education trying a new mark, rigs and bait.

Unlucky on the blank.
Just finished packing my tackle for tomorrow & it's started snowing, shouldn't settle though.

Re: Swanbridge 26th Feb

Thanks Mike - yeah, realise that now . There was another fella fishing off the rocks between Swanbridge and Lavernock - not sure how he got on we packed up before he finished.

It was 'one of those days' to be honest. Unpacking my mates car I realised I'd left my fishing bag on the drive complete with leads, reels, rigs, etc, etc so had to be a pain in the arse to my mates and scrounge some kit - which I immediatly cracked-off on the first cast.

Oh well, might try a bigger ride next time... and some better preparation.
