Windy day on the Shorty

Nearly a week since the last trip saw me back on the Short Arm, braving the wind. It started off blowy and within 3 hours was very blowy.


Armed with a week old rag & ancient mackeral I was hoping to christen my new scales.
As usual with a new rod, the first fish has to be a doggie.
This monster went down to 10.5oz

never thought about weighing one before & was suprised as I thought he was a tiddler.

Next on the scales was a record breaking whiting, 5.5oz


Bites were hard to spot, or there just weren't many which was more likely.
Maybe I'll have another go tomorrow.

well done paul...not a lot of shelter on the short arm either...bet that was pleasant.

if this carries on much longer i may buy a kite to go with the golf clubs
