| Loughor Estuary 26/1 Hi All, Decided after the last two outings (blanks)! I was going to try somwhere else. Thought Mumbles pier, then thought The estuary is only a couple of miles from me why not give it a go? Got there about 9ish and set up by the boat house. First cast into the very fast current dragged my line into the weed, not a hope of getting it back. Line snapped at the leader clip, dragged what was left back in to find at least 3lb of weed stuck to the leader knot. Things were starting off bad! Decided to move to one of the slower flowing parts of the main estuary.   Set up a couple or rods, one with some bling another with a two hook flapper with a couple of coloured and white beads. Manky left over worms on and cast out about 40 yards. Result!  Within ten minutes another!  Both fish were caught on the flapper, with not a touch on the bling.... Hmm? Anyway two flounder 1lb 5oz, and 1lb 7oz. A good morning, and beat the blank! Steve      |
