| Penarth White Wall Jan 1 2011 Fished Penarth White Wall this afternoon, nice calm conditions ,got there a couple of hours before high water and fished 2 up and 1 down. Baits used rag ,lug and squid . Half a dozen Codling caught ,with quite a few missed bites ,until i`d scaled down the hook sizes a bit .Points for the species hunt and first species on the list ticked off for the 50 fish challenge. Plenty of bait left ,so will have to set the alarm for 4 am ,and give it another go in the morning . Penarth White Wall......Looking to the left towards Penarth Pier and to the right towards Lavernock point .   Tried out a zziplex M4 EVO, pretty impressive bit of kit bite detection ,very much improved over the original M4.....   No big fish ,but a lot of very gutsy "fishfingers", kept the rods rattling for the afternoon     __________________ Mike..
