| Bristol Channel Cod ...3 Dec 2010 Alarm went off at 5 .30 am  .....pack my gear and off to the marina with Andrew ,who owns Whitewater. It was COLD !!!!!....... nearly minus 6 according to the van temp display .The boat was frozen solid , deck hatches frozen closed ,gas bottle frozen , even the marina was frozen.  The rest of the days anglers arrived and we slowly pushed our way out of the marina into Cardiff Bay ,suprise suprise the bay was FROZEN.  Once we were outside of the barrage ,the sea was flat ,and we headed off to the English & Welsh grounds to try for a few cod.  A steady run of Codling for everyone during the day in the 1-2lb range ,a few good whiting showing too.The wind picked up in the afternoon so ,we moved a little closer to home ,within 10 mins of settling ,my rod gave a gentle bite indication,and was into a better fish ...My best Cod of the year so far 11 1/2 Lb.  __________________ Mike..
