| boat and shore weekend fished the Cardiff foreshore friday night with mike to see if the good run of codling was continuing. weather wasn't too bad but with a stiffening easdterly we started. The flood started off with a couple of bites throwing up some tidy flounders and small whiting and codling   tide turned and prime time for codling...first blood to me with a codling that had nailed a tiny whiting...poor thing had not just one kink in its back but 3!!!   mike was then up with a codling stuffed full of crab   unfortunatley that was it for friday night...so home we went...kebab and watched friday nights rugby of wales against fiji....what a crock!! and then up early for the boat next morning, again with mike on andys boat white waters 4 weather was awfull with a strong eastely that thankfull dropped through the day making it fishable....what can i say we were virtually non stop...ok they weren't big but great fun...most fish were in the 2lb to 3 1/2...but a 12lber was boated along with a 6 1/2lb to yours truly i finished with 13 codling and think mike had 9...with the total for the boat being about 40-50 fish.   john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
