| foreshore bonfire night tides a bit big but i have half day fridays so i thought i'd take a long walk and risk a telling off. when i got to the heliport there was a couple of guys by the boulders, but that was it....didn't see or hear anyone else all night.  very quiet...not even whiting on the incomming tide....and the rain started...and the wind picked up..and it rained...and it rained a bit more... just before high, bites started...pouting and whiting were hitting my scratching rod every cast, keeping me occupied and my mind off the rain. tide started to ebb...and boy was there a good current...but still no codling until an hour after high when i had the tell tale tip springing back and nod nod nod..... first one about 1 3/4lb  no sooner was that returned and a fag lit then the nodding started again...bit better fish this time at about 2lb  out again and a little later had another classic codling take about the same size, but camera batteries decided to run out as i'd left the camera in playback mode. all returned and walked back along the beach...don't see the point in being blatant and walking passed security advertising the fact that people (me included) are still fishing down there. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |

| Re: foreshore bonfire night fished it again this morning. only got down there at high water and planned to fish it back a couple of hours which has been the productive time. weather man got it wrong....again, should have been no wind picking up to a northerley 7-9mph which would have been great and sheltered.....oh no 10mph easterly...directly in yer face and kills the fishing here. stryggled on regardless but only managed a whiting and a codling just in size. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
