| start of the cod compaign fished the foreshore last night on a big 12.4m tide have been hearing rumours that its been the best start to the season for years with plenty of 2-3lbers around, so armed with a pile of rag and some blacks of dubious origin from the freezer i was off and fished the boulders on the first point. started well with a couple of good size whiting. the just as the light was failing had a lovely slackliner that turned into a codling about 1 3/4-2lb but was very thin so returned. whiting carried on and then on the first of the ebb had another typical nod nod nod and another codling about 1 1/2lb good to see them and will be setting up my second home down there this year. hopefully with the whiting turning up it will mean the congers also come inshore too to get their fill. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
