bass trip

Went out with a guy that i know drifting off the south coast. I know wrong place to put up the report but there wasn't a lot to report really.

apart from lots of BBQ fodder in the form of mackeral which also filled the freezer for winter fishing but surprisingly we were also taking weaver fish on feathers and sandeel...oh well all points in the SH

weaver

sandeel

mackeral

Re: bass trip

Never heard of weavers taking feathers mate, might be a touch more careful when I'm spinning for bait from here on in!

Re: bass trip to Gower sept 2010

I saw Lazy Hookers report of fishing on the Gower and while staying at Nicholaston, I had a go. Caught a small bass first outing and second went to Lower Tor on Oxwitch Bay. Firts cast 3 minutes hit, hooked and lander a 2 1/2lb beutiful fish. It took it's toll from my hand! but it made a beautiful Sunday lunch for my wife and I. Thanks for the encouragment John. A great hours fising.

Alan
