Port Talbot w/c 17/8 Tuesday 4 hours to top of tide from beach. Used last weeks dead rag up then switched to fresh - fish had no preference. ended up with 4 schoolies & 4 small flounder. Wednesday 4 hours up in middle of tide from the beach. rag on hook - with occasional squid strip. dodged the showers that hit Swansea .Less surf today - fishing in/just past last breaker as usual 3 small flounder. In the last 15 minutes i tried half way to last breaker & had another 3 small flounder. Thursday (tomorrow) 4 hours up from low (neap). Gonna have an experiment on the Short Arm. Frozen crab/sandeel/bluey/mack/squid & good old rag. Spent hours deciding which rod/reel/rigs to take & when I get there I'll have changed me mind & wished I'd brought something different. . __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:>

Re: Port Talbot w/c 17/8 Todays experiment didn't proove very fruitfull. 1 snotty green eel on worm & a crab also on worm, not a touch on the other baits. I have a 2 till 6 shift to look forward to tomorrow - so will try the dropping tide at same place - not to hopefull though. Should be well wet . __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:>

Re: Port Talbot w/c 17/8 It's fine at the moment.... not sure what to do for 4 hours in November with a mini hurricane depositing 20 ft waves on the beach ... perhaps take up surfing . __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:>

Re: Port Talbot w/c 17/8 Friday - 2.5 up, 1 down, strong southerly breeze, Short arm. Mainly fish baits as worm wasn't lasting 5 mins. Dropped a doggie at bottom of wall second put in. Then quite till very end when I managed to get an eel in close. Can I have an identification from any budding ornithologists please. Its probably a baby seagull - but I've never noticed one like this before. I know it's not a Guinness swilling toucan or an Exmouth penguin... ![]() __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:>
