| Blackpill Hi All, Thought i'd try Blackpill this morning. Got there about 2 hours before high tide, but there was not enough water to sling a lead! So to pass the time I tried a plug at the Tutt, Had a couple of chases but nothing. So back to Blackpill. Armed with lug and some frozen crab... oh and one of my sardines!!!! I set up a couple of rods and got the lug out! Urgh, that is really not a nice smell! All dead and mushy, really should have checked it yesterday! Doh! Anyway, with not much else to use I put some on one of the rods, and sardine on the other. Cast both out about 30 yards, and watched some guy fly fishing! About five minutes in had a knock on both rods.. doh! again! So went for the lug bait first, pulled in a nice plump flattie, yippee!  The sardine baited rod was still knocking so I struck at it and missed, Came in stripped. So tried it again, and apart from a couple of nibbles absolutely nothing else! Nothing on the crab either. | Re: Blackpill It's hard to believe that this fantastic scenery is right next to the city centre too. Lived there for 12 months and loved it, lovely place. Needed to change my accent a bit and get vague when asked "where did you g oto school then?" (Cardiff was NOT a good answer at the time) , for all that it is a great place to live. Not as good as Cardiff mind, but you can't have everything can you :) ? __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| Re: Blackpill unlucky steve,i live in westcross and along that stretch from blackpill is doing well,dont give up them silver bars are there,my m8 had 20plus the wkend just on lug most of them were schoolies but he did have a couple for the table. |
