| More P.Talbot Thursday saw me doing a 3.5 hour shift in the middle of a dropping tide. Tried the beach, more in hope than expectation, chucking out 1 or 2 sandeels at a time into the surf. As expected I didn't even get a nibble. Watched the Kite surfers wizzing past & off to the horizon doing jumps & somersaults. Looks great fun.. Do they do kites BIG enough to drag me along or shal I wait for a low flying helicopter? Standing exhausted in the surf I decided that I need to be a good bit younger & should not have spent so much on the spare tyre. Friday morning saw a return to the Short Arm witha strong southerly howling along the wall. Oooops rods are too light again (carp). Put in both baited with sandeel/squid/last of prawn. Spotted a nice bite straight away and had a great battle with a doggie, ![]() especially when it came out of the water & the wind took it. Bigger rods help when pier fishing!! Well that was it... no more bites __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: More P.Talbot Hi Spahill, At least you avoided the blank! I'm hoping to get out this week, not sure where to try though! Was thinking maybe Tutt or one of the bays, probably end up at the west pier... again! Steve |
