| SM #1 wc 19/7/10 Back to the beach for a short sesh this morning to catch some rays... Not a bite on party squid with extra mack/crab. lovely sunny rays meant I topped up the tan. Short sessions are expected every day this week - think I will try worm tomorrow & wed. | Re: SM #1 wc 19/7/10 Tuesday 20th Rained / drizzled on and off for 4 hours with face on wind. 30 year old rod with multiplier (recent) chucking out clipped up ragworm on size 1s Managed a couple of schoolies this size.  Wednesday 21st Heavy rain Tuesday and overnight had caused flooding in Neath, the river Neath had deposited its flotsam on the beach.  Nice and warm, using a carp rod with braid & 1 up 1down with size 2s. had a scoolie late on and earlier this monster - a pb snotty eel who kindly didn't tangle the rig... what a lady!  Thursday 22nd Should have been bait collecting, but due to a shift change it was using up left over rag & another 3.5 hours fishing  .Carp rod with braid & my favourite flattie rig 1up 1 down, 80lb rig body, 20lb snoods going to 10lb flourocarbon to size 4 hooks, all with colour co-ordinated beads. 5 schoolies of similar size to the previous 2 days and an ickle flounder  Not enough rag left for fridays session - as all fish were caiught on top hook I'll fish last of worm up there & fishy baits on bottom, hoping for a turbo  __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> Last edited by Spahill; 07-22-2010 at 07:11 PM.
