| day out on white waters...... Mike (mrg2000) andy (on here too but forgot his name) and captain cod along with 2 others chartered whitewaters for a day out. originally this was supposed to be a toping trip but the mackeral really haven't turned up in numbers yet off milford and hence the tope which follow so we had a word with the skipper and changed it to a wrecking trip...something i've never done before....hands are full all the time what you supposed to do with a can of beer or a fag?????? weather held out and we managed to get a fair way out in a couple of hours but not before we were popping through pods of dolphins which as they do came in close to the boat and gave us a show before shooting off and leaving us to drop jellies and shads down to the wrecks...  great fun... first for me was a jumbo pout...and a couple more points  and then it was pollack pollack and more pollack. bit strange really not even having time to get a coup of coffee down our necks...around midday mind we had to run for cover and just in time too...andrew the skipper had been keeping an ear on the weather forecast and decided to make a run for land just in time as the wind picked up from 2-3mph to 25mph in half an hour!!! back to plan a and try for a tope....unfortunatley noboddy told the tope!!!! which was a bit disappointing as i've never had one before...i did however pick up a rouge bullhuss  which mid photo tried taking my watch off!!!!  john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
