| an hour or two out. seeing as our wrecking trip was cancelled i decided to slip the new rod in for a camping trip before the wife could protest. the gower was great...good weather on friday so indulged in a bit of campsite carnage knowing that the warm weather wouldn't wake us up.... mind you the 4 horse men of the apocolypse tried...good 20-25mph winds and horizontal rain saw us a bit soggy saturday morning...luckily this cleared by 2ish and i managed to make my escape!!!! mind you i was under strickt instructions to return with something for the BBQ. located and gathered about 7 or 8 crab real quickly...all edibles or jelly shore crab (my favs) 1st cast and bait hit within 5 minutes like a steam train...unfortunatley the fish didn't match upto the bite and a small barely sizeable bass came out about a 1 1/2lb...quickly returned and lie ready to tell my wife. didn't have to wait long and got a couple more bites but failed to connect, then another about 2lb which again was returned. down to the last couple of crab i had a rod wrencher and connected, this one did find the BBQ and was on it within the hour...a better fish about 3 1/2-4lb. and well happy with the new rod, an absolute dream to fish and cast with.  john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
