| Southerndown ,Witches Point ....21 May... John and i revisited Witches point in search of a few rays ,arrived about 2 hours before water @ 5 pm ,hoping to sneek out a few rays as the tide turned on the flood.....cracking evening ,toastie warm. No rays this trip ,tho we both beat the blank ,John sneeked out a plump little codling of about 3/4 lb,just after dark and managed a couple of the old "gorseinon goldfish".Left around 11pm ,and apparantly the rays turned up in force about an hour after ....typical !.I`m pretty sure John`s sparkly clean smock emitted too much glare and frightened the rays away  .Good to get out in the sun for a few hours all the same .Pics dont do the climb to Witches justice ..its a long steep climb ,here`s a couple looking either direction from the top !   Cracking day with Mr Sunshine out all evening.....a flat sea to begin with too...Sea chopped up a bit as the day faded   John`s summer codling,and the "sparkly" red smock !   __________________ Mike..
