| gower 16th feeling a bit sorry for myself sunday...after a night of carnage in the local hostelry...my wife and daughter sent the fear of god into me by suggesting a couple of hour walk on the gower!!!!!!not in this condition i was amazed when she suggested i get some bait and fish for an hour or 2 and not walk!!! game on managed to get half a dozen crab together. including a lovely jelly edible. first cast and a tiny tap...that confused me as you just don't get tiny taps...left it and when i reeled in this chap had managed to impale himself on the business end of a 3/0!!.....long spined sea scorpion???  next action was missed spectacularly as the rod bent around while i was making a rolly...well that ended up all over me, papers dropped on a rockpool....ah bugger connected with the next bite...a small schoolie about 1 1/2lb which was returned to come back in 5 years time with strict instructions to come and find me.  had another bite while holding the rod and when i struck i must have knocked the spool engagement off resulting in a lovely birdsnest which once i'd sorted out my gear was in a snag!!! never mind blew the cobwebs out __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |
