| Witches Point ...Rays and Dogs !!! Myself , John (Lazyhooker) and Paul (Spahill).....met up this afternoon in the carpark at Southerndown and headed of up the hill to witches point (i really must take my oxygen tent next time i try this climb !!!) tide was about an hour into the flood ,bit of a ground swell running ,but nothing too bad . Squid and sandeel baits were soon in the water.Paul was the first into a Smalleyed Ray ,quickly followed by John,i made sure the dogfish were well fed while i waited for a ray. we must had had over a dozen dogs each,best ray went to John with a good 7 pounder ,a nice spotted ray for me rounded of a great few hours ...good to meet Paul for the first time ....We finished with 5 rays ,and lost count of the dogs Paul`s Small Eyed Ray ...and the old Swansea Salmon !   John,with the best Small Eye of the session....and a Swansea Salmon !!!   Small Eyed Ray for me ..and a Swansea Salmon !!!!   Last fish of the evening a Spotted ray,and a baby Small eye   __________________ Mike.. The ledge looks a bit steeper in the pictures than I remeber and the hill is a tough one.
