Busy week

Went and dug myself some maddies earlier on in the week as it was such a nice day - great fun in the smelly mud.
Had a session with K on the big A beach 2 down 2 up in the bright sun & a chilly breeze. Nada, nil, zilch, well perhaps 1 possible bite early on. Just before we left another angler arrived. After a brief chat found it was fishing better on top half of the tide.
Friday - returned with left over maddies & fresh bought rag to fish the evening high. Nothing again... apart from getting a tan.
Sunday morning a fish at last.
Set alarm for 02:00 fished from 03:00 to 08:30. Bonfire & loud tub thumping music at my preffered spot so moved 400 yds further down beach. Got used to the music in the end, but not enough to start dancing. 05:00 the steel works lit up the night sky with its big red glow & I was enjoying the outdoor central heating so much I nearly missed the bite. Dogfish on half a half of sandeel on a size 4.
Another angler arrived just before dawn – he had heard there were a few bass around, I didn’t notice him catch anything.
This is why we do it though – the peace & quiet of an early morning beach.

OK – so the music was loud at night & the tractor raking the sand behind was noisy & even the little black Scottie dog who cocked his leg on my fishing box couldn’t wind me up – at least he chased his ball when I threw it.
No more bites till 08:30 then headed home via the petrol station .
Then Buttski wins in China with Denzill second - what a Great British start to theday.

haven't been on for a while as having a little break.

will be back fishing again after this weekend so if you want to get out and try some spots or just a chin wag give us a shout.
