| Oxwich 7/4/10 Fished Oxwich 19:30 – 01:30 on a neap tide from low to almost high, baits were rag & lug. Went nearish the rocks as 4 anglers to left of car park. Two more fitted between us a few minutes later. All quiet till after dark then K hooked her first ever Bass (38 cm) which swam off strongly. K then connected with a small (not pin) whiting. I switched to a longer bottom trace as my tips were not moving at all. A baby flounder followed on the pop up. A change to sand eel on the pop up resulted in this doggie. We picked up a few more whiting before we left. Chatted to the guys to our left & they had had a busy evening with around 10 fish each though nothing very big (shhhh the bait was maddies). Best trip so far in Wales – am sure they will get better. Aberavon to use up left over rag. Fished near Jackstones for 3 hours last night – nada not a nibble.
