porthcawl wall

well i was indecisive of were to go it was either the knap or porthcawl but decided to go to porthcawl, as we got there the wind was strong but there was one bloke who just caught a doggie so things look promising but how wrong was i lol there was possibly 20 anglers and 1 fish all night there was more activity from the rats running round our feet dont think i will fish a venue which has 19 mph easterly winds again might stay in and watch enders instead

Easterly winds ,tend to kill the fishing unfortunatly ,the wall has been probucing plenty of small eyed rays recently....At least you beat the blank !

Re: porthcawl wall

I fished there twice and was successful both times with dogs. Unfortunatly the venue is high and I have a fear of hights so normally start fishing sitting down until the tide comes in and the distance to the water is reduced.
I have the same trouble at three cliffs.
Don't give up on the venue. it can be good fun on a good day and people fishing there are extremley friendly I have found.
