| One of those days Popped down to Aberavon again yesterday lunchtime to fish over low water 12:08. Planned to do 1 down 2 up, but gave up after 2 hours. Dead calm, bright sunshine on arrival, slight breeze picked up whilst we were there. Bait was sandeel wrapped in squid, hurled as far as I could. Result Something chewed the tail of one of the baits. 2 crackoffs, one broken tip ring & the other rod butt & middle section got stuck together (needed son to help twist it apart at home). Spent the afternoon respooling the reels. On the plus side had a good chat with another local angler. __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: One of those days Unlucky paul. Wee tip if useing sandeel cut the head and tail off it thread it onto the hook put on a small bit of b/elastic then rap your squid as you would normally do. I find taking the head and tail of releases more sent, thats frozen sandeel though. Had plenty of those days paul myself why it happens is behond me but when it does mate all goes t.ts up. Tight lines ![]() |
